The “Level Two” certification has been modified. All coaches that wish to pursue the second level of NCCP education with Ontario Basketball should take the Train to Train courses. This course should be taken after completing the Introduction to Competition course by coaches working with athletes at the U13 Bantam age category and higher.
Train to Train (T2T) is a competency based course. Participants must download pre-task reading materials and complete the table on the last page and then register for a basketball-specific Train to Train course offered exclusively through Ontario Basketball.
Most T2T courses occur on weekends and consist of a four-hour Friday night and two, eight-hour days on Saturday and Sunday. Topics covered include basic mental skills, planning for the development of basketball players, and how to support the athlete in training. Approximately one quarter of the course will take place in the gym on a basketball court, so participants must be prepared with appropriate gear.

After the clinic, participants will be asked to submit a coach portfolio to a trained Ontario Basketball Train to Train Evaluator and arrange for an evaluation. Evaluations must be arranged through the Gameplan website.
