Volunteers, 2017 Men’s U23 World Wheelchair Basketball Championship

The 2017 Men’s U23 World Wheelchair Basketball Championship (2017 U23WWBC) will feature 8 days of intense and hard-hitting competition as world-class athletes representing 12 nations, including host Canada, converge to showcase the elite skill and athleticism that make wheelchair basketball a thrilling spectator sport and one of the most popular sports for athletes with a disability in the world. The event will bring together over 400 athletes, coaches, officials, delegates, and volunteers from around the world.

As a 2017 U23WWBC volunteer, you will help deliver a world-class international event and contribute to an unforgettable experience for participants and spectators alike. Furthermore, you will have the rewarding opportunity to meet new people, network and build relationships, gain valuable skills and experience, and engage with your community!

Volunteers, 2017 North American Indigenous Games

The 2017 North American Indigenous Games (NAIG) in Toronto is expected to be the largest sporting and cultural gathering of Indigenous people, welcoming more than 5,000 athletes from across North America.

It will take more than 2000 volunteers to deliver a successful 2017 NAIG and to ensure that all of the athletes, participants, and spectators have an enjoyable and memorable experience. The North American Indigenous Games are looking for volunteers in a wide range of areas from sport specialists, to protocol, to medical volunteers, IT specialists and photographers, to name a few.

Support the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Call to Action 88 and be part of #Team88.

Dates: July 16–23, 2017
Locations: Venues across the Greater Toronto Area, Hamilton Region and Six Nations of the Grand River.
