OBA VOLUNTEER RECOGNITION AWARDS
Each year, Ontario Basketball (OBA) recognizes coaches and officials for their outstanding contribution to the sport of basketball. The recognition award is given out to honour and pay tribute to Ontario individuals for their advancement of the sport. Any member of OBA whether they are a player, coach or volunteer may nominate a candidate for a recognition award. All candidates must be members of OBA. Candidates for this award are individuals who have made a substantial contribution to the development of basketball in Ontario. Candidates are recommended to have at least ten years of experience with dealing with the sport of basketball. The award recipients are nominated by their peers and the final selection of the candidates is completed by the Recognition Award Committee. Previous OBA recognition award winners and members of OBA's Board of Directors are not eligible for nomination. All winners will be recognized for their contributions at the Ontario Basketball Hall of Fame Gala dinner where they will be presented with their award. The Hall of Fame Gala dinner will take place on Saturday, October 30th at the Holiday Inn Markham. Submission deadline: September 13, 2010 The nomination form is available for download below.
