Each year, Ontario Basketball organizes and stages the
Ontario Cup Provincial Championships, which are open to all member clubs. Teams entered into the Ontario Cup represent hundreds of communities across the province that attend to compete for a provincial championship in one of several divisions. In total, more than 16,000 athletes participate in the Ontario Cup every year. Many of these athletes go on to play in provincial high performance programs, including post secondary basketball.
